Starting from 1 July 2024, The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) in collaboration with the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS), introduced a convenient, fast, and secure zakat payment platform for Simpan SSPN depositors. This initiative allows depositors to fulfill their zakat on savings obligations online through the myPTPTN web application making it easier to carry out this third pillar of Islam.
Therefore, Jom Zakat Simpan SSPN Campaign launched with the primary goal of raising awareness about the obligation of zakat on savings, PTPTN and LZS aim to encourage the use of myPTPTN as a practical and accessible zakat payment platform. This initiative helps depositors fulfill their zakat obligations smoothly and without barriers.
This campaign runs from 1 November 2024 to 31 December 2024 and is open to all Simpan SSPN depositors who are registered myPTPTN users and make their zakat payments through myPTPTN during the campaign period. Each individual only needs to make one payment to qualify for the lucky draw.
During the campaign period, all Simpan SSPN depositors who make zakat payments through myPTPTN will stand a chance to win a total cash prize of RM5,000 with the details as follows:
