Introduction

The Preliminary Loan Amount (WPP) of RM1,500.00 is provided for student preparation before enrolling in IPTA and Polytechnic institutions.

The student has agreed to accept the WPP.

The student is a Malaysian citizen.

The parents/guardian/student is a recipient of Rahmah Cash Contribution (STR).

The student is offered full-time Diploma or Bachelor's Degree studies at public universities and polytechnics only.

The student does not have any outstanding WPP debt.

The WPP offer letter can be printed from the official PTPTN Portal.

The offer letter is valid for 2 months from the date of issuance.

The WPP offer can only be redeemed by the student at any Bank Islam counter by bringing the following documents:

  • The WPP offer letter printed from the official PTPTN Portal,
  • The student's MyKad (Representative is not allowed).

WPP is a portion of the loan provided as an advance to students before enrolling in IPT. An automatic deduction of RM500.00 per semester from the total PTPTN loan amount will be made upon loan approval.

What is the Preliminary Loan Amount (WPP)?

The Preliminary Loan Amount (WPP) is an advance payment of RM1,500 provided to eligible students before they enroll in an IPT (Higher Education Institution).

  2. The student's MyKad (Representative is not allowed).

WPP can be redeemed within two (2) months from the date of the WPP offer letter.

  2. WPP Offer Letter Redemption Period: From August 27, 2019 to October 27, 2019.

If the WPP has been repaid, the student is required to repay the amount within eight (8) months from the end of the warrant period. A Ta'widh of 1% per annum will be imposed on the outstanding balance starting from the 9th month from the warrant expiration date.
