Lestari Pendidikan Campaign

The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) continuously strives to assist borrowers in managing their finances better to ensure loan repayments can continue without being burdensome, Lestari Pendidikan Campaign was introduced as a specific initiative to help borrowers with arrears restructure their loans according to their financial capacity.

This campaign provides borrowers with the opportunity to restructure their loans, adjust their repayment schedules, and set monthly instalment amounts based on their financial capability, while also promoting a culture of repayment responsibility among PTPTN borrowers.

The Lestari Pendidikan Campaign runs from 15 October 2025 to 15 December 2025 and is open to all PTPTN borrowers with arrears of RM500 and above, whether under conventional or ujrah loan schemes.

However, this campaign are not eligible for:

  • Borrowers who have had a judgment recorded against them;
  • Borrowers who have been handed over to the Debt Management Agency (APH): and/ or
  • Borrowers who only have an outstanding balance of the Loan Advance (WPP).

Only three (3) simple steps are required for borrowers to begin restructuring their loans so that repayments can be made in a more organised and consistent manner.

  1. Request for Repayment Negotiation

    Borrowers must apply for loan repayment negotiation through the myPTPTN web application. Once the application is received, a Sales Executive (EJ) will contact the borrower within seven (7) working days to initiate the negotiation session.

    Through this negotiation, borrowers may restructure their loans, convert to the Ujrah scheme, or consolidate their loans depending on their eligibility. Borrowers can also set monthly repayment rates between 5% and 8% of their gross income, subject to PTPTN’s eligibility criteria and approval. This step allows borrowers to enjoy a more flexible repayment schedule that suits their current financial capability.

  2. Settle Outstanding Arrears
    During the negotiation process, borrowers are required to pay 20% of the total arrears or a minimum of RM500, whichever is higher, within the campaign period.

    This payment can be made through all available repayment channels.

  3. Make Consistent Payments via Salary Deduction or Direct Debit

    To ensure that monthly repayments are made consistently and systematically, borrowers are required to repay their loans through Salary Deduction or Direct Debit throughout the repayment period. These automatic monthly payments are intended to prevent the risk of new arrears.
