myPTPTN App Simplify Customers

Kuala Lumpur: Easy, fast and safe. Those are benefits obtained by customers of The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) when it is no longer necessary to be physically present to the office to do any business.

Along with various technologies and a borderless world, aside from the increased use of devices, a mobile application known as myPTPTN which was officially launched on 29 March provides comprehensive digital technology facilities to PTPTN customers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the existence of the application also benefits its customers when they no longer have to rush, line up and physically gather at the PTPTN office.

With the myPTPTN app, it's easier when customers just need to download the app on the App Store, Play Store and Huawei AppGallery and everything can be accessed at the fingertips.

The set in motion of the myPTPTN app is in line with the 5th Core of the PTPTN Strategic Plan 2021-2025, which is to empower the organization towards being more dynamic and excellent through digitization. It is to ensure that service delivery to customers is not affected and is always at the best level.

The PTPTN mobile app launched is also a reflection of PTPTN's manifestation in making the country's digitization agenda a success and is a highlight in conjunction with celebrating Sambutan Jubli Perak 25 Tahun PTPTN this year.

With the availability of myPTPTN, it is able to integrate all the facilities into one system, thus benefiting over 3.63 million borrowers and 5.28 million depositors of the National Education Savings Scheme (Simpan SSPN).

This application offers various advantages to customers. Now, customers can enjoy various PTPTN facilities in one application through Single Sign On (SSO).

Facilities provided in the myPTPTN include checking loan statements, loan repayments, checking Simpan SSPN statements, opening accounts and adding Simpan SSPN deposits as well as applying for salary deductions and direct debits for loan repayments and Simpan SSPN.

Not only that, myPTPTN also channels any information or notifications to customers through push notifications in the inbox found in the application.

Such as, information regarding Loan Advance Payment (WPP) offer, loan approval and date of the loan payment credited to the bank account. It is useful for students.

The Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad praised the approach taken by PTPTN as the move was indeed very much in line with the government's aspirations.

She said, online services known as end-to-end (E2E) will be improved to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery to the community.

If previously customers had to log in at different portals to get PTPTN services, now customers can enjoy various PTPTN facilities related to refunds, savings and loans in one application through Single Sign On (SSO).

This is the sophistication of technology, the PTPTN mobile application known as myPTPTN," she said. In ensuring the safety of users when using myPTPTN, Noraini explained that the application is equipped with high security technology.

Therefore, every user needs electronic identity verification before making any transaction including confirmation via email and phone number during registration.

It includes authenticated transactions using the Transaction Authorization Code (TAC).

"Therefore, users do not need to worry about myPTPTN. All transactions are easy, safe and secure," she said, who also launched the myPTPTN mobile application.

Also present were the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), Datuk Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar and the Chief Executive of PTPTN, Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Dasuki in his speech said, as a strategy to promote the myPTPTN app, a specific campaign was launched to attract more users.

PTPTN organized the myPTPTN Campaign, Klik-klik je!, with a total prize of RM250,000 to attract more people to use that application.

It is open to all users who use the service provided throughout the campaign period from 29 March to 15 June.

Other than to increase myPTPTN users, he said this campaign is also a sign of PTPTN's appreciation to Simpan SSPN's loyal borrowers and depositors in conjunction with PTPTN's 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration

"I am optimistic that myPTPTN will be the best platform that brings the young generation closer to PTPTN because the youth is a generation that tends to master technology and is always aware of digital facilities that will benefit them," she said.

Sharing the experience using the myPTPTN app, University of Malaya (UM) student Danish Shahmi, 23, said myPTPTN is a very good and futuristic application as all matters involving PTPTN financing can be done quickly, easily and safely through a smartphone.

"Usually I will do PTPTN business physically at the office. But with the myPTPTN app, it makes my business easier," he said.
