Privacy Policy of PTPTN

PTPTN ("we") understand that Privacy Policy is important and take your privacy seriously in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Therefore, this section will provide notice and further information regarding our privacy policy. 1.0 SUMMARY

Explaining the handling of personal data collected when visitors are on the PTPTN Portal and when using the services provided. This policy also covers the handling of personal data that may be shared with others to help provide more efficient and effective services.

2.0 COLLECTION OF USE OF INFORMATION

2.1 Collection of personal data is carried out when you browse the PTPTN portal, fill out any forms, register any applications manually or online, or register for other online service accounts.

2.2 During registration, you may be asked to provide personal data such as name, identity card, email address, date of birth, gender, postal code and other personal data.

2.3 During your visit to the PTPTN portal, visitor data is also automatically recorded in the server log by checking the visitor's browser, including the IP address and cookies. This data is recorded and collected to enable access statistics to the portal page to be made so that service delivery can be fulfilled more efficiently and effectively.

2.4 Your personal information processed is for the following purposes:

2.4.1 Evaluate and process applications for education financing, products or services.

2.4.2 Service to administer, monitor, and collect repayments for the education financing.

2.4.3 Administering and managing all the products and services we provide to you.

2.4.4 Providing you with further information about the products and services we offer.

2.4.5 Research including historical and statistical purposes.

2.4.6 Promotion and marketing ("direct marketing") activities for PTPTN products and services, ("Direct marketing)" which means communicating through any means about any advertising or marketing material directed to specific individuals.

2.4.7 To respond to your inquiries.

2.4.8 Any other purposes, whether direct or indirect, related to PTPTN.

2.5 If you fail to provide personal data or withdraw your consent for us to process personal data for the purposes mentioned above, we may not be able to:

i) communicate with you;

ii) provide our services to you; or

iii) access certain sections of the PTPTN Portal where login is required.

2.6 We may obtain your personal data from your institution of higher learning, any government agency or any other party who deals with us directly or indirectly.

2.7 At the same time, we may collect non-customer personal data from you (for example, information about your spouse) when you apply for a product or service. You must obtain the relevant person's consent before providing their personal data to us to enable us to process their personal data.

3.0 DATA DISCLOSURE

3.1 Our team may disclose your personal data to third parties in carrying out the functions of PTPTN such as managing financing for higher education purposes and collecting repayments, providing savings schemes and managing deposits for higher education purposes, and carrying out any other functions provided to PTPTN by any written law. The third parties may include but are not limited to:

3.1.1 Central Government and State Government;

3.1.2 Government/ Public Agencies;

3.1.3 Any approved loan/ financing agency or agency authorized by Bank Negara Malaysia;

3.1.4 Any other bureau approved by the Association of Financial Companies in Malaysia;

3.1.5 Related banks and financial institutions;

3.1.6 Public and Private Higher Education Institutions;

3.1.7 Any organization appointed to serve as PTPTN's agent;

3.1.8 Any organization to complete transactions requested by you;

3.1.9 Financial service providers (e.g. takaful companies);

3.1.10 PTPTN service providers;

3.1.11 Any party appointed by you (for example: lawyers, financial advisors, or auditors);

3.1.12 Any party authorized in accordance with the provisions of the law, Court Order and/or regulatory bodies;

3.1.13 Any enforcement agencies;

3.1.14 Any financial institutions, merchants, and/or card associations that collaborate with PTPTN (e.g. customer loyalty card);

3.1.15 Telecommunication company for the purpose of communication, promotion and marketing; and/or

3.1.16 Other parties who may be directly or indirectly involved in PTPTN's functions.

3.2 Other than the above, we reserve the right to disclose your personal data if required to do so by court order or legal process.

4.0 ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA

accurate and up-to-date, you may request access and make written applications for correction, amendment or updating of your personal data at the PTPTN State Branch Offices throughout the country or through e-Aduan.

5.0 LIMITING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Without affecting the functions of PTPTN, you may choose to limit PTPTN's right to process your personal data from being used for "direct marketing"* by other parties to help provide more efficient and effective services. *.

The PTPTN portal contains links to other portals. This privacy policy only applies to the PTPTN portal. It is important to note that the portals linked to may have different privacy policies, and visitors are advised to review and understand the privacy policies of each portal they visit.

7.0 POLICY AMENDMENTS

If this privacy policy is amended, the changes will be updated on the PTPTN portal. By frequently visiting the PTPTN portal, you will be updated with the data collected, how it is used, and under certain circumstances, how data is shared with others.
