Starting Jun 2008, PTPTN has recalculated the insurance deduction on a new premium rate. All current PTPTN loan borrowers will undergo an insurance deduction for the purpose of protecting their loan based on their study period and loan repayment period. Insurance deduction will be done every semester when the loans are disburse. The insurance deduction amount is RM0.96 for every RM1,000 of loan amount. For current loan borrowers whose insurance deduction before this is less than the amount stated, the amount will be recalculated and extra deduction will be made.

1. Online loan application is available to all IPTA students starting 13th June 2008 through the website: http://epinjaman.ptptn.gov.my . Click here for details. - Loan application for IPTS students will be notified later. Applications before the commencement of the date will be using the OMR form.
- Applications using the OMR form will not be accepted after the starting date. Applicants can obtain their PIN number through any Bank Simpanan Nasional ATM machines or service counters. The PIN number cost RM5.00. The PIN number is valid for 6 months from the date of the first application.
- Applications will be open throughout the year and will be processed twice every semester by IPT.
- Rejected applicants can apply for the second time by pressing the "Permohonan Semula" button on the http://epinjaman.ptptn.gov.my website using the original PIN number. For rejected applications because of SSPN account, second time application can be made 14 days after SSPN account opening date.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
A man came to the Prophet and demanded a camel (the Prophet owed him). Allah's Apostle told his companions to give him (a camel). They said, "We do not find except an older camel (than what he demands). (The Prophet ordered them to give him that camel).
